Feminised masculinity: street style

So the title is something of a contradiction, but this look – masculine pieces reimagined in very feminine ways – constitutes androgyny with utmost sartorial flair. Down to the hair, short and slicked and masculine-inspired, this outfit takes its cues from menswear. But it’s all executed with a feminine twist.

The pants are pink, the blazer bright and floral; the polka-dot tie and tie-bar could feel corporate if paired with a navy suit, but feel far from it in this ensemble. Add drop earrings and pink lips, and you’ve got yourself a look of feminised masculinity that’s both whimsical and sharp.
